Proform Exercise Bike Review

When it all comes down to it, there are two things you need to know when selecting an exercise bike -- what your goal is and what your budget is.  The good news is that no matter what your fitness goal is, there is an exercise bike out there that can help you achieve it.  And most importantly, it will help you achieve it within your price range.

Take the ProForm GR 80 stationary bike for example.  It's not the sturdiest construction, it doesn't have a ton of features, but it does deliver a good workout for its price -- generally $250.  You can even get it for cheaper if you buy it used.  It comes with workout programs, a fan, and digital resistance.

If $250 is too much for you, consider the ProForm GT 30 upright bike -- this only has a price of $139.  Again, the design has a lot to be desired.  However, it is created to get a simple and effective workout.  It also monitors your heart rate and comes with silent magnetic resistance.

Another option for the same price is the ProForm GR 75 stationary bike.

If comfort is your number one concern when purchasing an exercise bike, consider the ProForm GR 90 trainer cycle.  It is a recumbent bike, which I find to be more comfortable than stationary bikes.  It too comes with digital magnetic resistance, and also has financing options to make this more expensive model easily affordable.

On the high end, there is a ProForm GT 120 cycle.  This is a cycle that is comfortable and feature-rich.  You can monitor your heart rate while you exercise, and you can track different workout statistics on the control panel while you exercise.  It offers a smooth ride as well.

Another recumbent bike to consider is the ProForm 465 RE bike. The cool thing about this bike is that it comes with interactive video games built right into the console.  Now while you're exercising you can play old classics such as blackjack, Texas hold 'em and even personalized fitness games such as "calorie destroyer".

If upright bikes are more your thing, then consider the ProForm 450 UR upright bike.  It also has the game fit console, and is less expensive than the ProForm 465 RE bike.

Whatever the case, before purchasing any one exercise bike, familiarize yourself with the different options available to you -- as you see above, not only are there various price points, but there are also various features to choose from.
